Otters are a symbol of joy, laughter, curiosity, and mischief. They are very playful animals in nature, and they even let out squeals and gurgles of joy when playing in the water that let us know they’re happy and having a good time.

Manatees are a calm and peaceful species of the sea that are adorable all around. They are very friendly in nature; this is demonstrated by them often approaching divers for belly rubs and close contact.

Manatees are known to kiss each other, as well as humans. The animal is near-sighted, so they do this to taste if they recognise you. There are many videos of them ‘kissing’ humans, and it’s just too cute to handle.

    6. Bottlenose dolphins – fun with the pod

Donkeys are some of the sweetest, most good-natured animals in the world. They get very unhappy when they are alone but thrive when socialising.

Known as stubborn animals, this just reflects their intelligence. They are playful and friendly and love making the most of their days.

We can’t have a list of the happiest animals around the world without including the animal that spends most of its time laughing!

Native to Australia, the sounds of the animal reverberate throughout the Australian bush. They throw their heads back, open their mouths wide, and laugh! Usually, if another family is nearby, they will join in.

    2. Goat – they have become therapy animals

If you see a picture of a quokka, oftentimes, they are literally smiling. These adorable creatures are usually only found in isolated forests and small islands.

So, there you have it. Do you agree that these ten are the happiest in the world, or do you think we missed any?
